Sweet and Sour Chili
A couple of weeks ago I posted a recipe for a pot of chili I made. It turned out really well and I was hoping to eventually make a video of me making it. I finally got the chance to and here it is. It’s a sweet an sour chili with a lot of ingredients.

In the video I make enough to feed a family of 5 for an entire week. So remember you’ll have to make less if you’re not planning on eating that much chili!
The rough estimate cost of this meal is $20. Unfortunately I don’t have all the receipts because I didn’t do all of the shopping. $20 might sound like a lot but it’s actually a good price when you consider how much chili I made. If you’re not planning on making as much, you’re cost will be significantly lower. $20 is the cost of the Rotel tomatoes, chili beans, ground beef, Hunt’s chili sause, sweet & sour sauce, tomato sauce, onions and green peppers. The other ingredients are ingredients I usually have on hand. Your cost may be more if you don’t have the other ingredients.

Andy Melton, you need to be careful with that knife. A couple times I thought you were going to slice your hand — especially with the onion.
But a very excellent video.

Stephen - Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed the two meaty dishes. I’ll try my best to do something sweet. I’m trying to think of something. If you have any suggestions feel free to suggest.
Christiaan Huygens - I assure you I have been well trained in knife safety. I’ve been doing it for many years now and haven’t lost a finger … yet. Now scrapes and cuts are a different story.

I really heart the cooking vids, Andy, so it pains me to say this — I CAN’T STAND GREEN PEPPERS!!! And mushrooms, I REALLY don’t like mushrooms. Luckily, I don’t see you using any of those slimy little devils in your creations.
Other than the bell peppers, the chili looked excellent. Make me mouth water, in fact.

Everyone has their own personal taste preferences of course, but, I feel as though mushrooms are quite misunderstood. I love them. Green peppers as well! I’d have to make you pick them out of whatever I cooked, lol.
Thanks for your compliments on the videos. Greatly appreciated.

Andy Melton — have you been kidnapped? Did you die from chili food posioning?
Where or where has Andy Melton gone?
I am scared.

Christiaan Huygens - Andy Melton has gone nowhere. He’s still around. He’s just an extremely, extremely, extremely busy man! He’s got 4 website projects (YAY!). LOL! I’ll return, someday! Hope all is well with you! Feel free to email me!
