Shawno - I have to say that I don't think the quality of my videos is all that terrible. The only problem that I have with my camera is that the lens is not wide enough which means not enough light can get into the camera. There are a lot of videos that I have done that I just don't like simply because they're too dark. Maybe I should just invest in better lighting! Would be a lot cheaper! I have a wide angle add-on lens, I may try using it for a video or two and see how well it does. I got an idea for a video project a few minutes ago. I'm making notes for it so I don't forget what I wanted to do since I won't be able to do it for a few days.

I wouldn't have to set the tripod up completely. Just use it at it's lowest height (with all the legs collapsed). I don't know if it would help any or not. It would be really cool to be able to have video footage where the camera was steady and the car was going around curves. That would be awesome.

Don't discount the quality of your camera, Andy. I think the image quality of your videos is just fine.

And how could you set up the tripod in the car? Seems like it might be tough. I think it'd be cool to get one of those things that storm chasers use, so that the camera is always stable, regardless of the motion of the car.

Shawno - The metal bridge was actually a car bridge. It was getting really old so they built the new bridge a few years ago. They were actually going to remove the old bridge but they dedicated it to the Cumberland Trail, or something like that. I was at the dedication ceremony. I am pretty sure I have pictures of it. I was in high school at the time and I think I took the school's camera. I'm not for sure. I think I backed up all the ones I took in high school from their server before I left there in December 2002. I just need to find where I put them!

I am glad you enjoyed the video. I liked it a lot as well. It's one of my favorite videos of my own. I think the rain really does something for the video. I know it's a bit early but I would really like to make another one similar to this. This time use a tripod while I record. Maybe I might have a better camera, too. Doubt it, lol. But. Maybe.

Thanks for your comment. Look forward to seeing a new video from you soon!

Great video, Andy. Is that metal bridge a pedestrian bridge? Looked too small to be a train bridge. And the footage of the rain on the car window is really nice. It rains so rarely here that I had almost forgotten what that looks like.

I wonder if this type of video has a proper genre description? I've often thought that there should be a website devoted strictly to videos like this. I've got about an hour of footage of my own that's similar to this. Someday, I'll edit it down into something watchable.

I am writing here, not because of the high quality of this video (which it was, loved it) but rather because Andy guilted and shamed me into writing this.

Tim - Thanks, Tim. I appreciate your comments. I got your email the other day and I've been a lazy whore about replying, I apologize! I am working on a journal video entry. I have recorded it twice. Don't like how either turned out, so, I am going to re-do it today! Hopefully! Anyways. I really loved that song so much. I keep listening to it over and over. It's been dry here as well. It hasn't rained that much. Wells around here are going dry, people are having to buy water. I guess I'd better run along and do that video. Thanks again.
