The original recipe only calls for 3/4 of an onion. I didn't think about it until afterwards but you might also want to put in just a bit of water to make the soup more soupy. The way I explained how to do it, it turns into the consistency of potato salad.

Bacon bits, chives, parsley go great with it. Put some bacon into it while it cooks or use bacon bits after it's cooked, or even while it's cooking. Would definitely make it even better.

Grilled cheese would go great with it. Any type of sandwich would, really.</description>

		<description>how long does it take to make it?  looks good.  need to make my slaves make it not with that many onions.  it almost was french onion soup.  lol.

i bet some bacon would be good on it, though that might mess up the texture.
