Walking In The Snow

I started walking for exercise again last week. The first day I went walking I recorded a video. It was snowing, cold and very windy but I done it anyways. I recorded a video of the area I walked which was down to the pond below my house and up to the field above the house. Last week’s total walking time was 3.5 hours.

Brrr, you are brave to get out there and hike around in that weather. It was cool to see how things look this time of year, especially in the field, compared to the bright greens I’ve seen in your other videos. It’s a different kind of beautiful in the winter.

    Nice job with the walk.

Have you ever considered a poncho for such situations?

  3. Andy Melton Says:

Jonathan - My photos are so much better of the field. My videos don’t do it justice. It is such a gorgeous field. Here is a recent photo of the field. One from summer of 2004, another and one from the end of last summer.

ChrisWeagel - Thanks! We’ve got one around here someone. Thanks for the tip. I never thank about them.

Those are great! It’s amazing how much your landscape changes from season to season, I think more so there than we have here.

  5. Andy Melton Says:

Jonathan - Thanks! Yeah. Our landscape changes a lot throughout the year. Our weather also changes constantly. The other day it was near 70 and now it’s in the 30s and suppose to snow.

  6. Shawno Says:

Cool video, Andy. It was neat to see how the snow began to collect as the video went on.

  7. Andy Melton Says:

Shawno - Thanks! I couldn’t believe there was already that much snow in such a short amount of time.
