Illumination

I was wanting to get out of the house and away from the computer this afternoon. I grabbed my camera and tripod and walked around the yard looking for something interesting to photograph. I really wasn’t having much luck finding anything to photograph because everything sort of looked dull or I felt I had over photographed it already. So, I switched to video mode and recorded this.

After recording it I speed it up a bit. I didn’t want to go the complete 1:30 so I just done 1:09. I wanted to show the field coming to life a little quicker.

From the position I took this video I waited for probably 10 minutes. The sun was behind the clouds and just before the sun came out I started recording.

The music in this video is Surveying Park Hill Prairie by Gurdonark.

Stephen - Thanks, Stephen. Glad you liked the music, you can download it from the link above if you want to hear the entire song. It is the same path I walked up in that snowy walk video.

This reminds me of an opening sequence to a horror movie.

    Andy–

Thank you for using “Surveying Park Hill Prairie” as the backing track for this film. The song was written about surveying a broad prairie landscape, so it fits in my mind very well with your time-lapse idea. I like the way that things like time lapse can help show the changes in what the eye declares a static scene.

best, robert, who records as gurdonark

CHristiaan Huygens - Suddenly, out of nowhere a dark cloud appears and it begins to rain. Not just any rain. But it’s raining … blood!

gurdonark - Thank you for allowing use of your music through Creative Commons licensing. I have a great deal of respect for artists who embrace sharing through CC licensing! Thank you, Robert. I am glad you feel as though the music fits this video. Feels great to know I used it with something the artist approves of! Thanks, again!
