First video with Canon ZR800
This is my first video clip with the Canon ZR800. It’s going to take a lot more practice before I can get really good with it.
I also need to learn more about encoding videos taken with this camera. I had a routine with the footage from my old camera. Just need to learn what works best with the footage from this one.
This was with manual focusing. I had the exposure too low. I thought it was right looking at the LCD screen. The video looks really great on my CRT television but on my LCD computer monitor it’s really dark.
The Canon ZR800 was a gift from an anonymous donor. Thanks so much to you, it is greatly appreciated! I will make sure to create some awesome videos with it. Thanks!

That’s beautiful, Andy. An anonymous donation, really? Incredible generosity. Looking forward to more.

Looks great!
I had a helluva time figuring out a good workflow when I went from my JVC camcorder to my Canon ZR800, too. I still haven’t found a good solution that doesn’t require a little extra transcodong. Maybe between the 2 of us, we’ll come up with something? Let me know if you figure out any new secrets.

mindcaster - I agree, extreme generosity. I am greatly appreciative of it and everything else. Hopefully, I will get more out soon. I’m anxious to get more out.
Stephen - Meow, meow, meow!
Tim - We will figure it out together. Maybe you, Shawno and I can figure out how to make better videos with our ZR800’s!
