Fast Forward Me Please

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

A lot of people will probably think this audio recording is extremely boring. You might want to fast forward for about 22 minutes or so. At the beginning I play “Girl On Tech Sings Behind My Fat” which is available via Pieces of Yeast. I am pretty sure the song is composed by Dave Calderbank who to my knowledge does not have a website of his own. I hope he doesn’t mind me using the audio, if so he can let me know and I will remove it. Anyways, this audio recording is just me talking late one evening.

Coal For Christmas

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

For those of you who like hearing me in a short and sweet podcast then this is not the one for you. Over an hour of me talking. I talk about a birthday party. I also complain about a lot of stuff. I planned on editing a lot of stuff out of this audio recording but I never did now I don’t care. I took my camera out and took some photos which you can view on my Flickr account.

Blast From The Past

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

This audio recording is from 2006. Dace from the “Dace In Your Face” blog and I chatted via Gizmo and recorded a podcast that never materialized. I thought it was enjoyable, glad I kept the audio. I hope Dace doesn’t mind me posting the audio, he can kill me later. At least he knew I was recording!

35 By 2020 Is Pathetic

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

The topic of this audio entry is the 35MPG standard that will take place in the year 2020. I give my opinion on this as a 22 year old. It has been a while since I recorded this audio but I believe the article I was referencing in this recording is Energy bill passes without oil tax via Taipei Times (found via Google News search for 35 mpg).

Wakey, Wakey. Eggs & Pigs in Blankey

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

Oh Tootsie, don’t you cry! Here’s another entry from Andy’s iRiver recordings. In this audio recording Andy is just waking up and rambling on about nothing as usual as he finds something to eat and tries to wake up. Stay tuned to the end of this program to hear “Break Down” by Kokoon.

Freaky Deaky Baby

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

This is my very first podcast as a member of The Freak Network! In this audio recording I don’t really talk about anything exciting (as usual). I just walk around the house making lunch and talk about what happened during my Thanksgiving weekend.

Through The Glass Darkly

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

In this audio journal entry I talk about a biblical passage from I Corinthians and read a couple of paragraphs about it’s meaning wrote by Deborah Cullins Smith. In this audio entry I also talk about artistic expression and ask whether an artist is suppose to criticize their work. Other topics are discussed as I work my way through the house doing cooking and washing. It’s about an hour long, I have some nice music and audio clips at the end for your enjoyment, so be sure to stick around for those.

Looking out onto the road

The song at the end is Wataridori 2 by Cornelius from The Wired CD. It’s a great song, one of my absolute favorites from the CD. It’s a Creative Commons licensed song that you can download, alter and share.

The PSA at the beginning of this audio entry was produced by Rebecca Nay of Tranny Wreck Radio. Please contact your representatives and urge them to oppose a non-inclusive ENDA bill. Send an email to your representative, it’s quick and easy! Do it now! Listen to Rebecca’s latest podcast and also Ethan St.Pierre’s latest podcast with Marti Abernathey for more on this issue.

Keeping Americans Passified

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

In this audio entry I talk about my Birthday from the previous week. I talk about getting out of the house over the weekend, having Chinese food and getting a new chair. I also talk about many of the things I noticed while I was out over the weekend. I also have a couple of songs and audio clips in this entry. Don’t worry, the longer songs are at the end so you don’t have to listen to them if you don’t want or have to fast forward through them.

Fortune from fortune cookie

I’m hoping the audio quality is better in this one. I increased the external microphone input volume on the iRiver to 60 from 50. I hope it’s not too much. I did decrease the level slightly once I got it into Audacity.

The audio clips at the beginning were taken (legally) from CCMixter. The music in the beginning was “Minor Wa-Wa” by Norelpref”. The two George Bush clips were by PorchCat, “Poor does not equal killer” and “The Haves … and the Have Mores.” The audio at the end of this entry was “A brief history of republican institutions premix aka demoneycracy” and “Living Stereo (2005).”
